Hi, I’m a programmer from Norway (so please excuse my grammar). I’m specializing in Microsoft.Net (mostly Web and Mobile), but I have a wide range of experience (including assember, c/c++, Java and SQL/Databases).

I’ve have a masters in Information Systems, and have worked as a IT consultant in telecom and finance. Currently I’m partner in a small company developing software for mobile devices (and some other more boring stuff :-))

I’m not planning to write much personal stuff here, and I don’t think you are interested in that either. But you can contact me at: trnilse{at}yahoo.com

The things I write here are things I either figured out for myself, or found on the web or other places. I do not guarantee that what I write is 100% theoretically correct, only that it worked for me (at least on my machine :-)). Since I don’t have that much time to write this blog, I don’t always have time to re-step/redo all the things i describe after having done them for myself. So some ‘receipes’ are written from memory, and I may forget a step or some important detail.
If something doesn’t work for you, please leave a comment and I will try to help.

    Hey there.

I read your post about exporting and importing databases in sql 2005 using DTS Wizard: https://mobiledeveloper.wordpress.com/2007/01/31/data-import-export-with-sql-server-express-using-dts-wizard/

I installed the toolkit but forgot choose the “Business Intelligence Development Studio” option in the installation process. When I later discovered my mistake I opened the toolkit installation again only to find out that I now can’t install the “Business Intelligence Development Studio”. It gives me the following error:

“Name: Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Tools
Allowed Action: Maintain (Action is only available from Add or Remove Programs)
Reason: Cannot maintain product, to maintain the product go to Add or Remove Programs”

Do you have any idea how to solve this error? Is it safe to uninstall the 2005 Express Management Studio without losing any data?

    Thanks alot for the help.
